The City set a public hearing for the Property Tax Levy for FYE2024 for 02/28/2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections, or support of the proposed tax levy.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at 5:00 p.m. on February 28, 2023, at the Clinton City Hall, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton, Iowa, before the Clinton City Council for the purpose of soliciting written and oral comments on the proposed Capital Improvement Program for FY2024-2028.

Any interested person may appear in person or submit their comments in writing at said public hearing.  Also, any written comments may be submitted to:  City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton, Iowa.

Issuance of General Obligation Capital Loan Notes

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Clinton, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 28th day of February, 2023, at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of not to exceed $8,600,000 General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (Essential Corporate Purposes, ECP-1)

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Clinton, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 28th day of February, 2023, at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of not to exceed $700,000 General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (General Corporate Purposes, GCP-2).

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Clinton, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 28th day of February, 2023, at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 611 South Third Street, Clinton, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of not to exceed $700,000 General Obligation Capital Loan Notes (General Corporate Purposes, GCP-3).

City Budget

The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 611 South 3rd Street, Clinton on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. 

At the public hearing, any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of, any part of the proposed budget.
